Exactly one month after announcing the launch of award-winning flights and holidays from Bournemouth Airport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have today hailed the response to their 12^th UK airport base as ‘truly phenomenal’, with customers and independent travel agents booking flights and holidays in their droves.  

On 26^th March, the UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline announced that 16 sunny destinations had gone on sale across Europe, the Canary Islands, and the Mediterranean from Bournemouth Airport for Summer 25, in response to years of demand from customers and independent travel agents in Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth and the wider South of England region. 

The companies have today revealed that they have seen strong and sustained demand since going on sale, and thousands of holidaymakers have booked flights and holidays over the last month from the brand-new UK airport base.  

The top five performing destinations from Bournemouth Airport are Antalya, Tenerife, Dalaman, Majorca and Rhodes, with the companies reporting strong sales to all 16 summer destinations from customers and independent travel agents.  

In their first summer of operations from Bournemouth Airport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate up to 27 weekly flights, including multiple weekly flights to popular destinations across the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Turkey and Greece as well as services to hotspots such as Mainland Spain, Portugal and Madeira (full list of destinations below). Two destinations (Fuerteventura and Madeira) are exclusive from Bournemouth Airport. 

The inaugural flight from the airport will depart to Tenerife on 1^st April 2025, and in Summer 25 two-based aircraft will fly holidaymakers from Bournemouth Airport on their package holidays with Jet2holidays and leisure flights with Jet2.com. 

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ arrival at Bournemouth Airport has also resulted in more than 100 new jobs being created initially, with positions available across flight deck, cabin crew, engineering, and ground operations.
